Pleasantly-Buzzed- Man’s Perfect Steak Rub
Here is a really easy steak rub I quickly put together after spending most of the afternoon at the community pool, discretely drinking rum, pineapple and cranberry out of a sport’s bottle (there is no booze allowed at the community swimming pool). This is so easy; a sober person can make it!
Ingredients:
Dried Thyme (good healthy [...]
Weekend Libation: Vodka Ginger Mojito
Now that the warm weather is here I’ve made the transition from those wonderful brown liquors of bourbon and scotch to those lighter, clear and silver colors of vodka, rum, gin (Hendricks only) and tequilla. I just had to save a few bucks a pound on their racks of [...]
Losing Weight on South Beach
A few weeks ago my wife told me the results of a recent blood test were in and that the doctor wanted me to have another one taken as soon as possible. Since I’ve been on high blood pressure medicine for years, having the occasional blood test done was not an unusual event. Getting this [...]
Spatchcocking Is NOT Pornographic! (see video)
Its BBQ season and I was testing the ole Webber kettle grill by grilling (actually, smoking) an entire chicken. While many folks like to cut-up and grill their chicken, I think cooking it whole is not only easier, but also makes a really good presentation. To that end, I learned how to spatchcock a chicken. [...]
