Pleasantly-Buzzed- Man’s Perfect Steak Rub

chef

Here is a really easy steak rub I quickly put together after spending most of the afternoon at the community pool, discretely drinking rum, pineapple and cranberry out of a sport’s bottle (there is no booze allowed at the community swimming pool).  This is so easy; a sober person can make it!

Ingredients:

Dried Thyme (good healthy pinch)
Dried Rosemary (good healthy pinch)
Dried Rubbed Sage (good healthy pinch)
Dried Oregano (1/2 pinch)
Smoked Paprika
Malden Salt (big unhealthy pinch)
Coarse Cracked Black Pepper

Grind the Thyme, Rosemary, Sage and Oregano with a mortal and pestle and set aside.Take 3 to 4 well marbled rib eye steaks (or any steak for that matter) out of the refrigerator about 30 minutes before grill time.  Rub a thin coat of olive oil (both sides).  Liberally sprinkled the steaks with Maldon Sea Salt (this is the best flake sea salt around) and course black pepper.  Liberally sprinkle each side with the spice mixture.  Press the spices into the meat.  Lightly dust each side with paprika.  Grill to perfection.
